Professor Anne Fitzgerald presents at International Open Government Data Conference, Washington DC
The first International Open Government Data Conference (IOGDC), hosted by the US Department of Commerce was held in Washington DC, 15 - 17 November 2010.
Professor Anne Fitzgerald of Queensland University of Technology presented on Managing rights to open up government data – the Australian experience in using Creative Commons licences on public sector copyright materials (2004 – 2010) [.ppt, 2.05MB] in a panel session entitled "Who Owns What? Licensing of Government Data" alongside Richard Best (Solicitor, Government Technology Services, Department of Internal Affairs, New Zealand) and Keitha Booth (Program Leader, Open Government Information and Data Programme, New Zealand).
