Draft NZGOAL now entering Cabinet deliberation
Since the release of the draft New Zealand Government Open Access and Licensing Framework (NZGOAL) in August 2009 for road-testing by agencies and public comment, officials at the NZ State Services Commission (SSC) and Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) have taken on much of the feedback in order to improve NZGOAL. According to SSC lawyer, Richard Best's blog post on In Development:
"Among other things, there is now greater clarity in certain areas, new policy principles dealing with attribution stacking, anonymisation and moral rights, and multiple sample attribution statements that agencies can use if they wish. NZGOAL is now entering the Cabinet deliberation process, the outcome of which is expected to be known in the nearish future."
